| Robin Corbo Robin Corbo moved to Portland, OR in 2001 after completing her Bachelor in the Arts at the College of Santa Fe (CSF). While in Santa Fe she served as the Art Director of the Women’s Show for both 2000 and 2001 at CSF. During her senior year she developed a mixed media forum for social commentary and the arts titled "Seen and Heard." Once transplanted in the Pacific Northwest she brought with her an education in Art Therapy and a passion for painting. She has been showcased in various group and solo art shows as well as directing mural projects in Oregon, Virginia and New Zealand. Her most recent mural is located in Portland at NE 17th Ave and NE Alberta St for the Community Cycling Center. Acting as the lead artist and designer she facilitated the project to paint more than 1100 sq ft with a staff of four and almost 60 volunteers. It is her emphasis on the collaborative process as well as a successful finished product that makes public art the over all focus of her career. She is currently employed at the non-profit agency Outside In working with homeless youth as a Resource and Activities Specialist. She helps to staff two different drop-in programs and facilitates a yoga, cooking and art group. Her travels have spanned four continents, and while at home she enjoys bicycling and performing in a puppet troop. |
